1968 - 2018

The Club is celebrating 50 years as part of the Macarthur community this December! Join us as we celebrate turning the big 50 with our 50 days of celebrations from 17 October till 5 December.

Win $1,000 every weekday by simply swiping your membership card every time you spend $20 or more on food or beverage at a participating outlet between 10am Wed 17 October and 6pm Wed 5 December to secure your entry.

Every weekday from Monday 22 October till Wednesday 5 December.

You do not need to be present to win. 


Terms and Conditions 

1. Campbelltown Catholic Club (CCC) Employees, Directors and their respective spouses are ineligible to enter. 
2. You must be a financial Member to participate. Suspended and Banned Persons are not eligible to participate. If a prize winner is found to be un-financial, Suspended or banned the prize will be forfeited and a redraw will take place.
3. Every $20 spent at a participating outlet between 10am Wednesday 17 October and Wednesday 5 December 6pm 2018 will receive an entry in the draw. Simply present your membership card at the time of purchase to secure your entry ticket in the draw. 
4. Participating outlets include: Campbelltown Catholic Club - Ground floor bars, Samba Café, Embers Charcoal Kitchen, Kings Food Court and Kyūbi Modern Asian Dining. Campbelltown Golf Club – Bars and Fairview Café and Bistro. Aquafit - Café Blue. 
5. Winners will be drawn every weekday from Monday 22 October to Wednesday 5 December at 7pm. Winner’s announcement will be broadcast simultaneously at Campbelltown Catholic Club (CCC) and Campbelltown Golf Club (CGC). 
7. Prize – A share in $35,000 cash with $1,000 cash draws drawn every weekday from Monday 22 October to Wednesday 5 December 2018, 7pm. Plus, there will be 2 x bonus $1,000 draws on Wednesday 5 December. You don’t need to be present to win. 
10. Entries will be cleared after the following draws – Friday 2 November, Friday 16 December and Friday 30 November. 
11. Draws will be announced over the PA system in the Campbelltown Catholic Club lounge, Gaming room and Kings Food Court area.  Campbelltown Golf Club lounge PA announcements will be made through the Lounge and gaming areas.  DRAW ANNOUNCEMENTS WILL NOT BE BROADCAST IN OTHER AREAS such as Private Function Rooms and Aquafit. It is the Members responsibility to ensure they are in an area where the draw can be heard. 
12. Winners consent to the publication of their name and/or photograph in any form of advertising Campbelltown Catholic Club sees fit. 
13. By participating in the promotion participants consent to the conditions of entry. 
14. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned because of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of CCC which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, CCC reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion subject to any written directions under applicable legislation. CCC also reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who CCC has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion. CCC legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
15.  Club management’s decision in all matters relating to these rules and this promotion shall be final and conclusive and no dispute or correspondence will be entered into.

50th Birthday Community Garden Party

Sunday 2nd December from 1pm - 5pm 
We’re celebrating 50 years with the Macarthur community with a special Sunday’s on the Terrace Garden Party!

Spilling out from the Terrace and into the Car Park for the day, this is going to be the biggest garden party of the year!

  • Jumping Castles, Petting Zoo, Rock Climbing Wall and games for kids of all ages (1-4pm)
  • Live music (2-4pm)
  • Food Stalls from Kyūbi Modern Asian Dining and Embers Charcoal Kitchen

To celebrate our 50th Anniversary we've made our own beer: The 'Half A Ton' Pale Ale. Club History

1964 - 1968

1964
  • Working bee at St John's School leads to the creation of a Catholic Club
1965
  • The first Board was formed and the first social gathering was held. Bill Meehan becomes member number 1 and foundation President
1966
  • A site for the clubhouse is purchased, off Narellan Rd
1967
  • The Club wins a legal battle against the pubs of Campbelltown and is granted a liquor license.
1968
  • Club house built and open for trading in December

1970 - 1978

1970
  • Licensing Court approval for first extensions was received
  • First edition of "Superstar" issued
1971
  • AGM admits "social" members
1976
  • First "Search for a Star" Quest
1978
  • Establishment of outdoor recreation area with swimming pool, children's playground, bar and BBQ
  • Membership is at 5,000
  • Extensions to the Dining Room and new administrative block are completed

1981 - 1989

1981
  • Club membership cards were transferred to a computerised system
1984
  • Commencement of a $500,000 extension program for alterations and additions to the Foyer, Lounge, Collegians Room and administration area - completed by December
1985
  • Official registration of the name "King of Clubs" was made with the Corporate Affairs Commission
1986
  • The Club's BBQ and recreation area was closed and sold to make way for road extensions
1987
  • Total donations by the Club passed the $1million mark
  • Membership exceeded 10,000
1988
  • Extensions to the Club commenced - transferring the Auditorium to the first floor and the creation of additional function rooms, conversion of the old Auditorium to the Bistro, extended bar facilities and new Collegians Room
1989
  • The Club won the "Community Service Award at the Club of the Year Awards

1990 - 1999

1990
  • TAB was introduced to the Club
1992
  • The Club purchased Quondong
  • Membership passed 15,000
1993
  • Builders commenced a $15 million redevelopment program
1995
  • Official opening of the Club's new premises
  • Won "Club of the Year 1994" Award
1997
  • Judged as the 1996 Club TAB of the Year at the Club of the Year Awards
1998
  • Extensions to the value of $2.5million completed
  • Kings Terrace Café opened
  • King Auditorium shows are made smoke free
1999
  • The Club went online with it's web site
  • In conjunction with Campbelltown Council, the Club sponsored the fireworks spectacular in Koshigaya Park to celebrate the new millennium

2000 - 2010

2000
  • Club donations exceeded $1million in a single year for the first time ever
2002
  • Stage 1 of major redevelopment incorporating an underground car park, expanded poker machine and leisure lounge and foyer alterations - completed in November
  • Stage 2 commenced with the construction of Aquafit Fitness and Leisure
2003
  • Mary Ellen Bland becomes the first women on the Board of Directors
  • Café Samba opens
2004
  • Aquafit Fitness and Leisure opens on 1 April
2007
  • Rydges Campbelltown, the areas only 4½ hotel opens on 1 August
2008
  • The CUBE, Campbelltown Convention and Entertainment Centre opens in July showcasing international caliber acts like Tom Burlinson, Tommy Tyco and Cirque De Cube
2010
  • Major Club redevelopment commences - construction of an outdoor gaming pavilion, new carpet thought the club, complete renovations to the Club Lounge, foyer areas and Aquafits Café Blue.

2015 - 2017

2015

  • Construction of new office administration building completed in November
  • New outdoor gaming area opened December

2016

  • Refreshed dining areas in Kings Food Court opened in May
  • Embers Charcoal Kitchen opened in July  
  • New dining expereince, Kyūbi Modern Asian Dining, opened its doors on level 1 of the Club on 27 August

2017

  • Construction commenced in August on the second tower at Rydges Campbelltown, set to grow the capacity of the hotel to 154 rooms, with increased space for private functions and events
